Health Benefits of Dill

Anethum graveolens, dill belongs to the Apiaceae, the celery family. It is widely used as herb or spice.
It nutritional palette is colourful.  Dill is a great source of protein, carbohydrates and the following minerals; potassium, sodium, phosphorous, magnesium, iron and zinc. It contains minor amount of niacin and riboflavin.
It has antioxidant and anti-cancer properties. Dill can reduce cholesterol. It can stop excessive gas. The antimicrobial properties of dill can help prevent infections in the mouth and reduce damage caused on the gums and teeth by free radicals.
