Diet for Preventing Dehydration

Symptoms of dehydration:

Action to prevent dehydration:
·      Drink plenty of water. Take a container of water or sports drink with you when you exercise, and try to drink at least every 15 to 20 minutes.
·      Avoid high protein diet
·      Avoid any alcohol, they increase dehydration
·      Wear lightweight and light colour clothing.
Foods that can contribute to your fluid intake:
·      Cucumber contains 95% of water. It also provides you with dietary fibre vitamin C, potassium and magnesium. Example: a cup of cucumber slices is nearly as thirst quenching as a glass of water.
·      Strawberries contain 91% of water, vitamin C also provide folate, a vitamin B that’s essential for the healthy growth of new cells.
·      Watermelon contains 92% of water. It is a good source of vitamin C and, also has lycopene, an antioxidant that may help protect against heart disease and some types of cancer.
·      Salad greens contain more than 90% of water and nutrients such as dietary fibre, vitamin C, vitamin B6, beta- carotene, vitamin K, thiamine, potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron.
·      Regular plain yogurt is 85% to 88% water. You’ll get calcium, vitamin B12 riboflavin and probiotics.

Millet with Asparagus
Ms H
This meal is easy to prepare, light and gluten-free.
Ingredients for 2 persons:
Asparagus steamed and cut

Millet
½ cup
Red onion chopped
1
Cucumber cubed
½
Tomato cubed
2 medium
Chilli pepper sliced
½ or 1 up to your taste
Pumpkin seeds roasted
Handful
Lemon juice fresh
1
Extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp
Salt
up to your taste
Pepper
up to your taste


Method:
·      Steam the cut asparagus for 2 minutes
·      Cook the millet in 300ml water for 20 minutes and stir it occasionally
·      Roast the pumpkin seed on coconut oil
·      Mix the onions, cucumbers, tomato, millet and asparagus
·      Dispense the lemon juice and oil
·      Sprinkle the pumpkin seeds and chilli pepper on the top

·      Season the dish with salt and pepper

Bulgarian cold soup called tartar
It is very easy to make and is served directly to the plate and does not need to be cooked. Get a big cucumber, grate it, or chop finely. Add a handful of crushed walnuts, squeeze the garlic clove (for fans), and cut into a plate of green beam. Pour yogurt into the soup. You can add a little of vegetable oil. Replace your supper with this soup - and you weight will just melt away. In addition, it is simply delicious and cooling summer dish!
Diet with cucumber salad
It is advisable to keep it less than 3 days in a row as yet such a diet is too low-calorie and does not contain everything a body needs. • Dinner: salad of cucumber and green with vegetable oil
Day 3
• Breakfast: two cucumbers, a slice of bread
• Lunch: 100 g boiled fish, 100 g boiled grouts (better rice). Cucumber
• Dinner: salad of cucumber and green with vegetable oil
Day 4:
• Breakfast: cucumber, bread
• Lunch: 100 g rice, 20 g cheese, cucumber
• Dinner: salad of cucumber and green with vegetable oil
Day 5
• Breakfast: two cucumbers, a slice of bread
• Lunch: salad of cucumber, cabbage, radish and carrot
• Supper: salad of cucumbers and greens with oil
Day 6
• Lunch: cucumber, bread
• Dinner: cucumber soup (yogurt may be added), 1 egg, pear
• Dinner: salad of cucumber and greens with vegetable oil
Day 7
• Breakfast: two cucumbers, a slice of bread
• Dinner: cucumber soup (available with yogurt), apple
• Dinner: salad of cucumber and green with vegetable oil
