They have anti-inflammatory effects; the antioxidants in grapes may reduce cellular damage by protecting cell membranes by limiting the chemical reactions that trigger inflammation. The phenolic compounds in grapes are present after the fermentation process.

The date palm, Phoenix dactylifera, is a flowering plant species in the Arecaceae palm family farmed for its edible sweet fruits.
